Module III: Step 2: Declare It!
As discussed , admitting you want something can be scary. This quote by Marianne Williamson from A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles is my go to when doubt begins to creep in. Read it. Print it out and hang it on your bathroom mirror. Look at it every day to begin changing your mind set.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Next write down your manifestation with pen and ink which creates a visceral connection versus typing in the present tense. Use as many adjectives as you can to amplify your emotions. As discussed in Module I your feelings are the fastest way to change your vibration and the Universe responds to your energy. So make your statements juicy, you want to feel excited as you read them keep it to ten statements max!
Here are a few examples:
I am gracefully finding myself feeling fully supported and connected to my new partner as we cuddle on the couch fitting tother perfectly in front of a roaring fire in Mount Shasta.
I am gracefully finding myself grateful and attuned as I help an engaged customer find the perfect elixir to ease her migraines at my beautiful herb shop walking distance from my home.
Get specific and paint a picture using all of your senses. How will your manifestation look, smell, sound and feel to your touch?
Finally, find a trusted friend. Someone that you can tell your deepest desires to that will not make it all about them or allow their own personal doubt to shadow your vision. People with a lot of opinions about you and your life are NOT welcome to this party.
This usually includes immediate family members because we have tremendous histories with our families that dictate our role within them. Manifesting your desires often changes your familial role which can flair up the unconscious fears of relatives who just like you have egos that want to maintain the status quo.
For instance if you’re the “peace maker” in your family and you’re manifesting a successful online store selling your one of a kind hand painted jackets you’re going to be very busy and have less time to save your parents and siblings from arguments. This is a blessing as conflict resolution skills are crucial to adulting. You stepping in and resolving your family’s problems is actually handicapping them and you. See how manifesting your desires serves everyone and the Highest Good?
My rule of thumb is if you’re not 100% convinced that a person can hold space for your manifestation don’t chose them as your trusted person to share with. Find someone that’s your biggest fan, is open to or already on a spiritual journey and knows that when you shine everyone wins. It could be a friend, mentor or therapist.
Now declare your desires without justification. When fear creeps in, and it will, it’s a part of the territory reread Marianne Williamson’s quote and know that I am rooting for you!
Print and hang the quotation poster above where you can see it ;)
