Depression is our natural response to loss. It signifies that we need to grieve and take better care of ourselves How do we do that? By acknowledging our feelings first and then facilitating their release with self-loving action.

Sometimes depression can become so severe that it inhibits our ability to do the things we normally do, like get out of bed or take a shower. Self-loving action will help but I also suggest consulting a mental health professional. Psychology Today is a great resource.
Severe depression can also be accompanied by thoughts of suicide or not wanting to live. If you are thinking about sucide please seek help immediately. The Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7.
